Parts of a Plant digital storybook

I just keep going with plants!  The kindergarteners all drew a flower and labeled the parts of the plant.  I used their drawings, photos, and class song to make a digital storybook.  Take a look!

Finishing Seeds!

Wow! What a great time the kindergarteners had learning about seeds and plants.  I wanted to post some pictures of the students examining seeds in food, working in their journals, and looking at their lima beans.   They were so excited about their seeds.  I was so proud of what they learned!

What was your favorite?

Kindergarteners! We have had so much fun studying seeds and plants. I know you have learned so much! Please share your favorite part about the seeds and plants unit we studied!

Seeds and Plants

For this month I am a kindergarten teacher. It has been a blast to spend so much time in one classroom with these students. I am learning so much! And so are the kindergarteners! We are studying seeds and plants. Soon I will post pictures of the students and their experiments. We are sprouting lima beans! Tomorrow we are walking to the Tech common area to draw the tulips. And soon the class will be making a digital storybook about the parts of a plant. Below is a website that has some great seed and plant information and activities. Parents, feel free to explore this with your child. Let them put on their scientist hats and show you what they know!
